IEU(SA) Sub-Branch Representative (Reps) training – Friday 20 June 2025
Friday 20 June (Week 8)
Full day training session including morning tea and lunch breaks.
This training is for ALL IEU(SA) Reps, not just new Reps. It is important training designed to assist you in your role.
The training will cover the following skills and content (but not limited to just these):
- Role and responsibilities of IEU Sub-Branch Reps
- Union conversations – skill based
- Building an organised union workplace
Recent Rep training attendees found the training very helpful and offered this feedback to their training: Q:“What did you gain most from/enjoy about the training?”
- “Lots of important information”
- “I appreciated understanding my legal rights and also appreciated hearing from other school reps”
At this stage, numbers are limited to 12 per training day, so be sure to book ASAP to secure a place.
Although many of our Enterprise Agreements (EAs) covering independent schools provide access to at least one day training per year, some allow for more.
Additionally, as part of the new Delegates’ Rights provisions introduced last year, the entitlement could be up to five days (for initial training) for members covered by the award or in new or re-negotiated EAs.
Further training sessions in Term 3 and/or Term 4 are being considered subject to demand.
