Actions not words – how union women won a new entitlement for all workers
This week we held a celebration event to commemorate the amazing win of securing 10 days paid family and domestic violence leave as a universal legislated right.
We had activists speak about the amazing win and the 10 years of campaigning they led to get us there.
We also launched a new short documentary that commemorates and celebrates this huge, live-saving entitlement and the members who made it possible.
It was not possible to capture every part of this decade long campaign, but we hope it recognises the hard work of union members and shows the power or campaigning and organising workplace by workplace to win new laws.
