IEU member queries on NCCD reflect employer misunderstandings

Through email communications and an online Zoom Q&A session, IEU members are aware of the misunderstandings at some schools relating to the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD), which may lead to unwarranted workload demands.
In brief, the IEU received member advice that employers across multiple schools and jurisdictions incorrectly assert that the Australian Government Department of Education (the Department) has implemented changes to NCCD evidentiary requirements.
In response to this, the IEU Federal Branch queried the Department and they unequivocally advised that “There are no changes to evidentiary obligations for the 2026 NCCD”.
