Racism is rising in Australian workplaces – help is available

In April this year, the Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) released its report The struggle to be seen, the power in being heard: Community insights from the Seen & Heard project.
The report responds to increased experiences of racism in Australia following significant global events — impacts that have affected not only communities and personal lives, but workplaces as well.
Racial injustice in Australia also has deep historical roots, with First Nations peoples continuing to experience its ongoing effects.
Many community members shared experiences of discrimination, exclusion and harm, including through workplace policies, practices and social attitudes.
Social justice is union business.
