Teachers Health Strengthen their Commitment to South Australia

Created by teachers (for teachers) over 60 years ago, Teachers Health now looks after 310,000 people throughout Australia. As the only private health insurance fund exclusively for people who work in education (and their families), Teachers Health is proud to work in partnership with the Independent Education Union.

Teachers Health Centre – made for members, open to the community

In 2017, we strengthened our commitment to members in South Australia with the opening of Teachers Health Centre in Adelaide.

Located at 26 Flinders Street, Adelaide, the Health Centre provides eye care and dental services 6 days a week. While the Centre welcomes everyone, members of Teachers Health receive additional discounts on eye care and dental services.

We’re for Teachers

As a health fund that’s all about its members, we were proud to announce our lowest average rate increase in over a decade at 2.84% (well below the industry average of 3.95%).

Because we’re a not-for-profit organisation, it means we can focus on the good things – like making sure our members get the best possible value – instead of payouts to shareholders.

With rate rise coming into effect on 1 April 2018, now is a great time to get a quote or a comparison from Teachers Health.

All you need to do is contact your local Teachers Health rep, Sue Brenkley (South, West Suburbs) 0458-019-850, Jason Garrick (East, North and Adelaide Hills) 0472-828-609 or visit teachershealth.com.au, or call 1300 727 538.
