World Teachers Day Awards
Once again it was a great pleasure to be invited to the Educators SA World Teachers Day Awards, held on World Teachers Day, Friday 25 October. The awards celebrate excellence and service across all sectors of school education.
IEU(SA) Branch Secretary Tim Oosterbaan and President Britta Jureckson attended the event, held at Adelaide Oval.
Minister for Education Training and Skills, Blair Boyer MP, spoke about the increasing complexity of classrooms and that the gap between those students who are successful and those that struggle with education is widening.
This year, eleven of the recipients are IEU(SA) members and we congratulate them all. They work at a range of schools across Independent and Catholic schools.
Thank you to members who won awards, and to all our members, for the outstanding contribution you make to the lives of your students every day.
