2022 IEU(SA) Executive Election Results

2022 Executive Election Results thus far– Stage 1

We have a change of Secretary and Deputy Secretary.

After 7, three year terms, the current Secretary, Glen Seidel, will be retiring in 2023
and Deputy Secretary Tim Oosterbaan has been elected as Secretary in 2023.

Assistant Secretary, Wendy Evans, has been elected to the deputy Secretary role.  Delegates to IEUA Council are Tim Oosterbaan, Wendy Evans and Britta Jureckson.

The number of “ordinary” members of executive went to a ballot to select 11 out of 13 candidates. We welcome Emily Button from Walford to the executive but farewell David Freeman and thank him for his service over 2 three year terms.

The ballot elected: Sheryl Hoffmann (Concordia), Jenny Johnson (Dara), Ally Cunningham (Nativity), Britta Jureckson (Mercedes), Kathleen Johnson (Blackfriars), Anthony Haskell (Saint Ignatius), John Coop (Rostrevor), Noel Karcher (CBC), Sue Bailey (Tyndale), Emily Button (Walford), Michael Francis (Mercedes).

The AEC Official Declaration of Results can be accessed by clicking here.

The Stage 2 election process is underway whereby the 13 members of the new committee elect by and from themselves: the President, two Vice Presidents, the Treasurer and an alternate to federal executive. That process will conclude in either October or November depending if a ballot is needed.
